Pammy Johal has been an educator and training consultant since 1979. Pammy Johal holds a BA in Recreational Studies specialising in Outdoor Education and Community Development.
She has a passion for wild open spaces taking her on numerous expeditions worldwide; India, Pakistan, Nepal, China, Tibet, Africa, Central & South America, USA, Canada and throughout Europe.. on foot, bike, ski and boat!
backbone’s diverse range of global associates and partners are highly experienced consultants and facilitators holding relevant national qualifications in their field of expertise. Jointly we offer a breadth of services enabling us to provide effective programmes to all sectors and communities.
A substantial part of our work addresses issues of access for Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) communities to the natural environment . Our experience shows that working with and enjoying nature can enhance the quality of our lives and bring people together.
backbone aims to improve physical and pyschological access for BME communities to the natural environment by offering consultancy services to environmental organisations and designing environmental projects to engage BME communities.
All our programmes offer:
- Halal or suitable vegetarian/vegan food.
- Exclusive use accommodation when required.
- The freedom to wear what you want; including traditional dress & head wear.
- Time and personal space for prayer and reflection.
- Offer gender, cultural and group specific programmes.
In doing so we open access to mindblowing wonderful experiences...and help to make dreams a reality for everyone!
