Royal Chitwan National Park (RCNP) has long been one of the country’s treasures of natural wonders. At the foot of the Himalayas, Chitwan is one of the few remaining undisturbed vestiges of the 'Terai' region, which formerly extended over the foothills of India and Nepal. In 1963 the area south of Rapti River was made a rhino sanctuary. The area was declared the country’s first national park in 1973. Recognising its unique ecosystems of international significance, UNESCO declared Chitwan a World Heritage Site in 1984.
Pokhara is a remarkable place of natural beauty. Situated at an altitude of 827m and 200km west of Kathmandu valley. The enchanting city has several beautiful lakes and offers stunning panaromic views of the Himalayan peaks. The serenity of lakes and the magnificence of the Himalayas rising behind them create an ambience of peace and magic. It’s a great place to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature.
