When I should say I can
Why should I die full
When I should die empty
Using my new experiences
To challenge me all the way
Leaving a legacy
Of a black woman

Looking through the eye of a tree
so many stories it has to tell...
four shero’s inspired bythe views
of life past, here today
& tomorrow’s fortune

Come take my hand and let us step into the darkness
It’ll be alright
We are all together

togetherLead me, guide me,
Let me know you are there
I need you, reassure me,
Will you be there?

Go mum go, you can do it
You are doing it

Struggles, sharing, caring,
We all have the right to be here
Women of difference
Women of riches

Freedom comes, only after jumping,
Through the door called fear

Let’s celebrate!
We are all together.

& look at yourself
Who is me
& what do I choose to be.

Live in the moment & use it
Curl your toes &
leap in the air
& catch that star
that you wish upon

Breathe in the moment
& place that star
dreams and all
in the centre of
your soul &
let it shine within
you & through you - always

Today, let the wild breeze
tangle your hair
and the wild air
infect your lungs
feel the green
& listen to the wisdom of trees
because mother nature never lies
